Edward Loar claims title in Tour Chitimacha Louisiana Open

Edward Loar fought through strong winds to claim the Tour Chitimacha Louisiana Open on Sunday in Broussard with a final round score of 2-under-par 69. Loar, a left-hander, was 17-under 267 for the tournament and finished two strokes ahead of second-place Morgan Hoffman, who shot a 62 on Saturday.

Broussard, La. – Lefty Edward Loar of Dallas fired a 7-under 64 Saturday and moved into the lead after 54 holes of the Chitimacha Louisiana Open. Loar’s 15-under 198 total is one better than Troy Merritt (66) and two in front of Morgan Hoffmann, who torched Le Triomphe Country Club with a 9-under 62.
