Edward Loar was born on November 15, 1977 in Dallas, TX.  He grew up in Rockwall, TX and graduated high school in 1996.  While there he won 4 district titles, 3 regional titles, and helped lead his team to a state title in 1996.  He also won the individual title in a playoff that year.

He attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater from 1996-2000 graduating with a BA in Business and a minor in Finance.  Edward was a 4 time All American and part of the 2000 NCAA Championship team.  He recorded 5 collegiate victories and played on the 1998 Palmer Cup team.  Loar also won 4 Amateur tournaments including back to back wins at the Sunnehanna Amateur and was a member of the 1999 Walker Cup Team.

Edward turned professional in 2000 and has had various stops around the globe.  He spent the bulk of 5 years on the Asian Tour capturing the 2003 Thailand Open and the 2004 Kolon Korean Open.  Edward played various mini tours from 2008-2011 which included 4 wins on the Gateway Tour and 2 wins on the Adams Tour.  The 2011 Qualifying tournament proved to be Loar’s breakthrough moment after going through all 3 rounds and finishing T18 at the finals.  He struggled his first year on the tour but did record a victory at the 2012 Panama Claro Open.

2013 has been a banner year for Loar.  He recorded his 2nd victory at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open and recorded 6 other top 10’s.  Edward finished 4th on the money list and graduated back to the PGA Tour.  He lead the tour in both putting and birdie average for the year.  Edward will open the 2013-2014 season at the Fry.s com Open in San Martin, CA

Edward married Melaney McDaniel of Spearville, KS on August 12, 2006 in Dallas, TX.  They welcomed TRIPLETS Collins Marie, James Edward IV and William Wynne on September 5, 2011.
